I have been teaching for 17 years, math and language arts. I especially enjoy teaching challenging math classes, such as Algebra I, although I enjoy teaching all of my students.
I have been at D. R. Hill for four years. I love it here. My team mates are the best! The students are always sweet, funny, and dear to me, even though getting all of them to do their homework every night is a battle!
My goals for my classes are simple. I wish for my students to love and appreciate math for what it can do for their lives, and to become skillful problem-solvers.
Some of my favorite pastimes are crafts (I do mosaics, jewelry, and crocheting), working on my computer, playing with my daughter Skye, and . . . oh yeah! I love to shop!
I obtained National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics in 2002, and I hold master's degree from Furman University.
